  innsj ø - an insight into the creative process of improvisation. The new single, a piano solo will be released on the 12th September 2022. It was originally recorded with a video camera recorder around this time last year, in a practice room at my University in Huddersfield. I was working with Huddersfield based musical talent Adenico, and we decided to share with each other music that we were doing, performing to each other to the grand piano in the room. He had shown me a piece he written for Piano and vocals, but what really caught my attention is how he used the upper range of the grand piano to add 'twinkling' embellishments to his song. After he finished performing (he's a fantastic singer by the way), I then wanted to do an improvisation and try incorporate some of these elements into what I was about to do. This is what you hear in this music. This is why I began the piece by starting on the upper pitches of the instrument. Although this whole result is improvise
